This page used to be linked as a standalone bureau-consent document. It is no longer maintained separately, because consent to retrieve your credit information is not something you agree to once on a static page — it is given at the moment you ask us to run your analysis, against the specific purpose you are asking for.
How consent actually works
- You give it on the consent screen, immediately before we retrieve anything, and you see what you are agreeing to at that point.
- We record the version of the wording you agreed to, and when you agreed to it.
- We do not retrieve your credit information without it, and we do not retrieve it for any purpose other than the one you asked for.
- The free readiness check does not touch a credit bureau at all. It uses only the answers you type.
